How to use

From first idea
to your next deck.

Bring the idea. Build it out with your assistant. Here’s how to find cards, keep your options organized, and make the list your own.

Your first deck, step by step

  1. Create your deck

Sign in with Google, open the Deck actions menu (•••), choose New deck, give it a name, and pick a format. Choose Casual / no format if you just want to explore.

  2. Tell the assistant what you have in mind

Start with a favorite card, a commander, or a strategy. Share your budget and the kind of games you play so the suggestions fit your table.

  3. Turn suggestions into a list

Ask the assistant to add cards to your deck, or save possibilities to your Maybeboard. Discussing a card alone doesn’t add it anywhere.

  4. Refine it together

Ask for cuts, swaps, more card draw, or a closer look at your mana curve. Review the changes in your Deck tab and keep adjusting.

A place for every possibility

Deck

The cards you’re building with

Your main list and commander, when applicable. Ask the assistant to add cards here when you’re ready to include them.

Maybeboard

The cards you’re considering

A shortlist for ideas you haven’t committed to. Keep alternatives here, then move your picks into the deck.

Sideboard

The cards you keep in reserve

Set aside swaps for different matchups, where your format allows a sideboard. These stay separate from your main list.

On mobile, use the Chat, Maybeboard, Sideboard, and Deck tabs to move around your workspace.

Keep the conversation going

Copy a prompt, paste it into your deck’s chat, and make it your own.

Find possibilities

“Suggest five budget card-draw options that fit this deck. Save them to my maybeboard so I can compare them.”

Find the weak spots

“Review my mana curve and mana base. Where might this deck stumble, and which changes would help? Explain before editing.”

Make a few cuts

“Which three cards contribute least to my game plan? Suggest replacements and explain the tradeoffs before making changes.”

A few useful details

Before you get back to brewing.

Do I need a complete deck idea?

No. A single card or a rough strategy is enough. Tell the assistant what you enjoy, and ask it to help you choose a direction.

Can I move cards myself?

Yes. Click or tap cards to select them, then open the context menu to move or remove the selection. Right-click or long-press a card for individual actions. With a keyboard, focus the card and press Shift+F10. Hover to inspect a card, or double-click to pin its preview. You can also choose Pin from the menu. Click empty space to deselect all cards.

Will my deck still be here when I come back?

Your decks and conversations are saved to your account. Sign back in with the same account and choose a deck from the deck picker to continue.

What does Start new conversation do?

Choose it from the Deck actions menu (•••) to start a fresh chat for the active deck. Your previous conversation is saved, and your deck, sideboard, and maybeboard stay as they are.

Got a card in mind?

That’s enough to get started.
